For the Media

“Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, TV, and film.”

— SAA Tradition Eleven

SAA Policy Regarding the Press

Because of the importance to SAA of personal anonymity of our members and the potential of sensationalism surrounding the topic of sex addiction, we suggest that requests for information, interviews, or speakers from members of the media be submitted in writing.

Please provide the following information:

  • Name of the media outlet
  • Name of the persons planning and producing the material
  • Purpose of the presentation
  • List of subjects to be covered
  • Questions to be asked
  • Make-up of audience, if requesting a speaker
  • Specific arrangements made to protect personal anonymity
  • Production schedule

Representatives of the media are encouraged to review this website in advance of submitting a request for additional information.
